British man snatched over religion, why are people in Yeman against multiculturalism?

I don't condone the kidnappers but this isn't about multiculturalism, it's about people trying to preach and convert, and continuing to do so despite warnings to the contrary. If they weren't trying to force their religion on others they wouldn't have been targeted. And to take innocent children and keep them there even after the warnings is totally selfish.
