Why are republicans making such a big deal?

Everyone is talking about the new SNL skit about Palins husband being accused of . And the Emmy's poking some fun at McCain and Palin bridge to no where. And the MTV music awards poking fun on bristol palin on her pregnancy and her BF. Can't people take jokes anymore? Has this become a country with no sense of humor?
