What happens next...?

At the doctors they will perform blood and urine tests to confirm pregnancy and tell you to start prenatal vitamins. I am uming your first appointment with your midwife would be the same as with an OBGYN...where they sometimes perform a pap smear and schedule you for an ultrasound ..they will also check your weight and address any concerns..they also usually use a fetal heart rate monitor..this is at least how i remember it and it is done in Canada.
