What films do you recommend I watch to sharpen my eyes so that I am more aware of important details?

I am currently taking an introductory module to film studies. And I am facing some difficulties. My eyes are not sensitive to details. What do you suggest I should do? And what film do you recommend I watch besides Citizen Kane, Psycho, Greed, etc.?
