I plan on buying candy for the candy buffet at my wedding, how long will it stay good?

I was thinking of buying valentines day candy the day after the holiday when they mark it down because one of my colors is pink, but my wedding is not until May 28. I know I have read to freeze it, but will it still taste good? I am specifically talking about chocolate hearts, M&Ms, hershey kisses, etc.
